Senior Internships

Picture
 LINK 2.o
This course is for self motivated seniors who want to intern with a local professional throughout the semester or year. The opportunity to pursue specific interests with a mentor can often expose students to skills and experiences only available outside the classroom walls. We are incredibly thankful to the mentors who continue to support our students!

General requirements

1. Placement with approved mentor
*Student will "introduce" mentor and Internship Coordinator via email and be responsible having the mentor complete the Mentor Agreement
2. Time- 60 hours per semester, mentor signs off on completion
3. LINK 2.0 Project- preferably of benefit to the hosting organization and of interest to the student. Any work that a student takes responsibility for while interning can be considered a project as long as the work is valuable and leads to new knowledge and growth.
4. DP Updates- student designed description of project and accomplishments while interning under College/Career Prep tab
5. LINK 2.0 Presentation- a meeting between mentor, student, and Marie after the required hours are complete

Prerequisite
1. Successful completion of Junior LINK Internship
Students, you cannot sign up for LINK 2.0 on your own. You must independently communicate with both your mentor and Marie to make this happen. Marie will provide you with a Mentor Agreement that you will have your mentor complete and submit before the Course Add/Drop window closes (two weeks after a semester starts). Once Marie has the completed Mentor Agreement, the course will be added to your schedule for you.

Mentors, please review information the Mentor Handbook under the Mentor Tab. Don't hesitate to contact Marie if you have further questions.
