Instructions are a good thing to read (wink!):

Examples below!

Most high schools don't have internships like LINK! Add a short description of what LINK is, describe it as if you were talking to a stranger who's never heard of Durango or AHS.

Include
1. The timeline- three weeks, no classes

2. The purpose and benefits of LINK! (It's okay to say it's a really amazing opportunity and you feel super lucky, you know... if that's how you feel.)

3. The LINK logo

4. The LINK website

LINK INTERNSHIP
Example:
Animas High School offers a unique program to their juniors. Leading Internships for New Knowledge sends juniors on three week internships in the field of their choice. During LINK, students have no regular classes as they spend 30-40 hours a week with mentors in the workplace, learning how to apply their skills outside the classroom. For more information, visit ahsinternships.weebly.com.

Add a short description of the business where your internship was located. (Use the past tense so that you don't have to change it later!)

Include
1. An image: the business logo, a picture of the business itself, a picture of you in front of their sign...

2. A link to the business website

3. A brief explanation about WHY you choose this particular internship

BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
Example:
My internship was at Annie's Orphans, a no kill dog shelter with the mission to find good homes for all their dogs. I choose this internship because of my passion for animal welfare and my interest in working with animals in the future.

Annie's Orphans can be contacted at:

Track your process in confirming an internship, from the initial dreams to the final confirmation. We often forget this part when the internship is over!

Use the questions to the right to spark some ideas of what to write for each post.

Don't worry about length, DO worry about writing quality and beautiful work. Future mentors, employers, and colleges might read your writing!

PREPARATION and ANTICIPATION
(include the actual dates in your writing)

Spring update (DATE):

Why did you make the decision that you've made and what do you hope to learn from this upcoming experience? What are your final thoughts before departing for your internship? What are you excited about? Are you nervous at all? Are there any last details that you need to confirm?

Winter update (DATE):
Where are you in the internship confirmation process? What have you done so far and what next steps are you planning on taking? Who have you talked to already about your internship ideas and what have the outcomes been?

Fall update (DATE):
What are your thoughts on doing an internship? What fields are currently intriguing to you? What are you looking forward to and what concerns do you have? What have you done already to work towards exploring your interests? What's next in your career exploration and/or internship search?

After the internship, reflect on the experience highlighting what you learned about the particular career path and your interests. Also share any struggles you may have had.

BE SURE TO ADD AN IMAGE OF SOME SORT!

(It's up to you whether you have your Reflection on the landing page like it is here or on a separate tab.)
REFLECTION
(include the date of writing)

Be real! Get deep! What did you learn about yourself?!?! What did you learn about the professional world? How were you challenged? What strengths did you discover? How did LINK change you and/or your ideas for the future? What are your next steps to accomplish your goals senior year and beyond?

Upload images, documents, links and other evidence of your LINK Project along with a description of what your role was in the creation of the project.

My project was awesome. Here it is.

Please don't use the words above, that would be silly. You know what to do, beautiful work!
